Faith Labor Alliance

The Faith Labor Alliance is a joint project between Jobs with Justice and the Labor Movement to forward an agenda for working families in Missouri. Faith leaders and Labor leaders meet monthly to discuss the intersection of faith and workers’ rights. We currently have monthly meetings moving in St. Louis, Kansas City, St. Charles, Jefferson City, and Springfield. Labor in the Pulpits

LiPAll across the country, starting on Labor Day weekend, thousands of congregations participate in Labor in the Pulpits / on the Bimah / in the Mimbar, celebrating the sacred link between faith, work, and justice. The goals of Labor in the Pulpits are to educate congregations about connections between faith and work, inspire new friendships between people in religious communities and unions, present congregations with opportunities for acting on the social teachings of their faith groups, and give union members a deeper experience of their faith in action.
