Pay: $20/hour (salaried position)

Locations: We are hiring two part-time positions. One will be in Kansas City and one in St. Louis (one in each office at 20 hours/week).
Missouri Jobs with Justice (JwJ) is a coalition of labor, religious, student and community activists and organizations committed to protecting basic human rights. The Position: Office Manager
The Office Manager, under the supervision of the Operations Director, will work closely with the staff and leaders, and must be a very detail-oriented individual, able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage responsibilities for multiple projects with minimal supervision. JwJ’s projects often have short, and shifting deadlines so all staff must work hard and be flexible. The Office Manager will be supporting a host of diverse staff and leaders so they must be able to balance the needs of many personalities and projects.
Office Management: The Office Manager will handle the day to day needs of the office and may include- answering phone and reporting messages to staff, sending and receiving mail, supporting office technology and efficiency, handling yearly renewals of organizational services, ordering office supplies, scheduling space and supporting events, and maintain a healthy, clean, and safe working environment,
Database Entry: The Office Manager will need to handle large batches of data entry with speed and accuracy. Familiarity with databases generally is required, with the system Powerbase, specifically is preferred. You will also be asked to pull monthly thank you letters for each board meeting.
Fundraising: An additional part of the Office Manager’s responsibilities will be to follow up with current donors to renew their support when credit cards have expired or changed.

• Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced, campaign-oriented environment
• Ability to be a self-starter, and to work independently toward agreed upon goals.
• Solid, commitment to the principles of social and economic justice.
• Must be willing to make a minimum one-year commitment.
• Some limited in-state travel is expected to attend statewide staff meetings
• Minimum of two years administrative experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of organizations and people.
• Proficient in computer skills, including database management, word processing and desktop publishing.
• Own vehicle available for work (some mileage is reimbursed).
Also Desired: Ability to speak Spanish. Knowledge of and/or participation in Jobs with Justice in Missouri or elsewhere in the country.
