Raise the Minimum Wage/Cap the Rate Volunteer Orientation and Training
Tuesday, January 3, 6:30pm - 8:00pm

We need you to be trained to gather signatures so we can get these important ballot initiatives on the 2012 ballot!

Missouri Jobs with Justice, along with many other grassroots organizations, are collecting signatures to qualify two ballot initiatives. One will raise the minimum wage $1/hour to $8.25/hour, giving many low wage workers more money to spend in our local economies. The other will reform the Payday Lending Industry and protect Missourians from predatory lending by capping their maximum interest rate at 36%.  Jobs with Justice will be holding a session to train new volunteers on how to gather signatures from their friends, family members & coworkers.

The training will be at Westport Presbyterian Church, 201 Westport Road, 64111.
