Support Prop S: Support St. Louis Public Schools

*On Tuesday, August 2nd, St. Louis voters have the opportunity to support our St. Louis Public Schools and our students by voting YES on Proposition 2.

Proposition S is a no-tax-increase bond issue that will deliver $160 million to support the schools where our kids learn.

Prop S will ensure our schools throughout the district have the resources and renovations they need. Most of the buildings in the district are more than 75 years old – some are more than 100 years old. As voters, we came together in 2010 to support our schools and passed Prop S with more than 75% of the vote.

Prop S will support good jobs – that’s why our union partners at the Greater St. Louis Labor Council has proudly endorsed Proposition S. In 2010, Prop S created 3,000 construction and trade jobs that build our economy.

On Tuesday, August 2nd, we will again have the opportunity to reinvest in our students, staff, and schools.

Prop S will support important projects across the district, including:

  • Renovations and repairs to elevators and restrooms to ensure our schools are ADA compliant
  • Removing lead paint and other hazardous materials from our schools
  • Upgrading mechanical systems including air conditioning, HVAC, and ventilation to create a safer and healthier environment for our kids to learn
  • Increase learning opportunities for our students, including upgrading technology and outdoor spaces
  • Improve security systems across the district by installing fire alarms and replacing interior and exterior doors

On Tuesday, August 2nd, cast your ballot to resource our schools and ensure our students and communities have the resources they need.

Be a voter and reinvest in our students, staff, and schools by voting YES on Prop S.
