Working for a state and country where every family has all they need to get and stay well became even more clear this year. In 2020, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act and strengthened our resolve to keep fighting against the greedy pharmaceutical companies and the politicians they bankroll. We worked alongside the national Health Care for America Now coalition, we are fighting to preserve Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, and the Affordable Care Act. We hosted virtual press conferences, town halls, national call-in days, and demonstrations to lift up the stories and concerns of Missourians and to hold our elected officials accountable. It’s clear that the same corporate greed that drives tax breaks for the wealthiest in our society is the same force that prioritizes profit over people when they gouge Americans on the prescriptions we need to live and be healthy. This same greed forced through a Supreme Court justice confirmation rather than focusing on real COVID relief. We will continue to build our movement and call out leaders who betray us and our values.
